The best time to start class is around 28 weeks give or take 2-3 weeks. As long as the final class happens before you turn 40 weeks that is also fine! See below for more information on this topic.

Until the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, classes are being held virtually via Zoom.

When is the best time to start class?

Hypnobabies recommends that expectant parents begin their 6-week Hypnobabies Group class series by 28-30 weeks gestation. Earlier is fine too, so long as the parent understands the amount of daily practice that is required to maintain their childbirth hypnosis tools until baby is born. When parents begin our course by 28 - 30 weeks, they will finish the program just before their 37th week of pregnancy, which is considered early term. They are likely to also have time to practice their Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis techniques in "maintenance mode" before baby is born.

Some families may prefer to start earlier and have a longer "maintenance phase" to continue practicing their hypnosis tools for a longer time before giving birth.  This is also great for helping expectant parents relax and enjoy pregnancy and they usually sleep better too!  Instructors can accept you in to class later, as long as your guess date is after the end of class, but we recommend following these guidelines to get the most out of the program.
